Hi, I bought a Tevion Film Scanner FS 5000 and when I went to install it on my OS Mac the software CD is no good. - Office Equipment & Supplies question. Download the latest drivers for your Tevion USB Drive USB Device to keep your Computer up-to-date. I bought one of these last spring from Aldi (I have found their equipment is usually top quality) to primarily scan/copy my slides into digital format, but owing to my wife's illness I have only just now got round to using the scanner. The results are bad – slightly out of focus and so much contrast that light areas (such as faces) were completely burnt out. I then noticed that one of the lenses inside the unit was loose and sent the unit back, which was replaced by return (very impressed with the service) BUT the scans are no different! I've tried all the adjustments, but the results are simply abysmal – badly burnt out images taken from slides that are perfect as I had taken them on a top of the range Nikon during the 1970s when I was in the photographic trade Do I have another faulty unit? Anyone used this model and got good results? Are all these types of scanners this bad? If so what is the point of them? Any advice or comment would be most welcome, thank you. Click to expand.Which is what I was sort of doing before I bought this heap of junk and getting reasonable results, that is projecting the image via my Leitz Pradovit slide projector and photographing the screen with a Fuji digital camera. Bit of faffing about so thought (!!) the Tevion scanner would make life easier - clearly not cheaper! Still think though that however rubbish something is, it should at least make something approaching reasonable results, not giving you something that is useless. • Dear Customer, Congratulations on purchasing this high-quality TEVION® product.
